SATC PRESENTS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE BERGMAN STUDIO & DRAMATEN/THE ROYAL DRAMATIC THEATRE IN SWEDEN
Jason will be appearing in "Sleepwalking in The Nether" by Jacob Hirdwall in the Opening Night reading of the Nordic Stage on April 6th at Theater Row. 

As a member of the company Jason has helped fundraise for this festival and is excited to be able to take part in it and continue his work with top Scandinavian artists.

The Seagull

This project will be in a 4 day residency from July 26-29th at The Dragon's Egg. For a more detailed proposal/narrative please reach out.
Jason is directing a version of The Seagull in collaboration with several young artists.

The Seagull
by Anton Chekhov is a play for now.  It  transcends every time period and remains as potent today as when it premiered at The Moscow Art Theater in 1898. The goal of this production is to show that no matter what divisions we face today; we are all human, and we all go through life with love, sorrow and dreams.

Love Letters

Always Never There

Jason Beckmann is directing a reading of Love Letters by A.R Gurney with Claudia Godi and Richard Fiske in the lead roles.

Jason Beckmann is working with director, Valentina Fratti, Artistic Director Miranda Theater Company on an equity showcase production of his inaugural play Always Never There.

It will be going up in Fall of 2019

Past Work

World's Apart

Axial Theater company: February 9th-11th, 16th-18th

Jason starred in Wayne Paul Mattingly's World's Apart in Axial Theater's Twisted Valentines Festival.  
The play ran for two weekends to wonderful audience reviews.  It is currently undergoing publication.  

Bedaggered

Bedaggered: January 31st at the PlayErs Club

Jason produced Bedaggered a new play by Lynn Clay Bryne at the Players Club on Gramercy Park.  Jason hired director, Charlotte Hopkins, the cast of fourteen actors and managed the whole production including booking the Players Club.

He also created the promotional video and took all the photos as well.

Framework

Aery 20/20 Festival: September 17th, 23rd, 24th

Jason co-starred in Framework which participated in the Aery 20/20 One Act Festival in which it won Runner-Up to Best Play.  The play was selected out of over 100 submissions and went 3 rounds against 20 other plays. 
Jason and Ellie have known each other since High School and this was the first time they collaborated with each other since they directed the Freshman Play back at John Jay High School.  

Always Never There

Always Never There is a new work by Jason Beckmann that is currently in the early stages of development.  The play is an honest and personal portrayal of what happens to a fraying family when they must face an irreversible tragedy.
